Dr.M.V.Jali is the recipient of the prestigious Dr.B.C.Roy award fellowship during his PG studies from the Medical Council of India (1981). During his PG studies, he presented his first scientific paper at the 2nd World Congress on Diabetes in the Young (1981), later in award sessions of API Conferences; Viz.,Dr.Berry Memorial, E’Merck & Young Scientists session of ISCA. He is the recipient of RV Sathe Award from the Diabetic Association of India (1986), Karnataka State’s Suvarna Rajyothsava award, (2005); Karnataka State IMA Award (2006); State Red Cross Award (2007), and received recognition from the International Geriatric Association at New Delhi on 12th Nov 2010 and again in Nov 5th 2011 at Amritsar for special services to Elderly medical care through newly established “Geriatric Centre” in Belgaum town.
Now, he is heading one of the teaching & corporate hospitals that have 2200 bed strength as its Medical Director & CEO (KLE University) & presently the serving professor of Diabetes (Medicine). He is the member of the Basic Science Research Centre of the KLE University, Belgaum
He is a loyal devotee and trustee of Local Sri Ramakrishna Mission Ashram at Belgaum. He established a Science Centre for rural children in Hospet with the help of Department of Science and Technology (DST). His Diabetes Centre caters Free Insulin Treatment (Regd) to 152 Diabetic Children for the last 11 years. He has developed a Telehealth Education Satellite Bus with the help of Indian Space Research Organzation (ISRO) to cater the diabetes Education to rural population in the northern Karnataka. He has several national and International indexed medical publications and he has contributed chapters in medical text books.
